Golf Rules Videos

USGA offers 12 short videos  online and at no cost (!) that provide expert advice on how to proceed in a variety of situations commonly encountered on a course.

Have a peek - go to usga.org  then go to Rules, then Education to find the Rules of Golf videos. These videos are recommended by Golf Canada and the USGA for all juniors who wish to participate in tournaments.

Thank you to everyone that helped make our tournament a wonderful success! We raised approx $2,700 our best yet!!

We had 75 golfers participate with 19 teams having fun with our scramble format and luncheon.

The winning team was : Sandra Conrad, Ginny Verge, Anne Lindsay and Jean Pottie, with a score of 66.

The runners up were : Cynthia Spraggs, Natalie Dockrill, Barb Oland and Katie MacDonald with a score of 68.

Closest to the hole on number 2 was Sandra Conrad and on number 12 was Jeanie Pew.

We were all winners with the beautiful weather.

Special thanks to all the folks that made the generous donations to our special cause, as well as everyone that donated prizes for the event.

Thank you to Chad and Barb and their staff for their usual support.

Thank you to the volunteers: Cathy Rafuse and Kim Armstrong for setting up the beautiful tables.  Trudy Langille for selling the Cheat Sheets, Sheila McGill and Sue Hennigar for the 50/50 draw.  All the ladies that helped with the set up.

Presidents End of Season Note

I am always amazed at this time of year how quickly the summer disappears. It was a great year thanks to the efforts of many volunteers both on Tuesdays and Wednesday nights.

Next year all women who join the Women's Division will be invited to participate in a "chipping clinic" which will be provided by our pro Chad Pearson. The cost for the clinic will be covered by our Women's Division. We felt this was a way of giving back to our members and helping everyone with their golf game.

Hope you all have a great winter and we look forward to seeing you on the course in 2017.

Ruth Christian,

Women's President
