Canadian Cancer Society : Play Fore The Cure 2019

Thank you to everyone that helped make our tournament a great success! We raised $4281 our best yet!

We had 108 women participate with 27 teams, lots of fun with our scramble format and luncheon. Our cheat sheets seem to be very
successful. The weather was wonderful.

The winning team was : Jo-Ann Ravlo, Ruth Christian, Leslie Jordan and Jen McVey, with a score of 62. WOW!
The runners up were : Cathy Rafuse, Kelly McKnight, Sherry Brine and Sheila Boss with a score of 67. Great!
Closest to the hole winners: #2 Victoria MacGregor, #6 Amy Sleep, #8 Dee Dee Dyer, #12 Karen Nickerson, #16 Ruth Christian.

We were all winners with the beautiful weather and the great condition of the course, a lovely meal, and happy participants.

Special thanks to all the folks that made the generous donations to our special cause, as well as everyone that donated prizes for this fun event. Special mention to Cocoa Organics Spa for the gift\ bags. Thank you to Dave, Dan, Satrina and Meghan and all their staff for their usual wonderful support. Michele our gardener did the lovely flowers in the washroom. Wendy Sheppard for setting up all the tables. Thank you to the volunteers: Cathy Rafuse for finance and our beautiful tables. Trudy for selling the Cheat Sheets, Jackie for the 50/50 draw and gift basket. Marlene, Jo- Ann and Ruth at registration.

NSGA Men's Mid-Amateur - July 19-21

The Chester Golf Club is proud to be hosting the Nova Scotia Golf Association MCT Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship. This is a very prestigious championship event attracting some of the best elite players in our Province. The event will take place from Friday July 19 through to Sunday July 21.

To accommodate this event our course will not be available for Member/Guest play and the practice areas and driving range will only be available to tournament players.

For information we will be running double draws twice daily at 8:30am and 12:30pm with an expected 130 players.

Take the opportunity to come down and enjoy some great golf and see our wonderful Golf Club at its finest.

Membership NEWS - Effective May 29, 2019 there is no longer a six-month residency requirement for property owners prior to submitting a New Member Application.  


Greens Committee Update

The following report submitted by the Green Committee contains Member Survey Results, a report on the fall 2019 discussions with our architect and a 10 Year Project list.
 
Member Survey as relates to the Green Committee. 
 
Our architect, Les Furber, visited the course this past November and we reviewed with him the Member Survey results from last summer. His recommendations are included in the following summary.
 
10 Year Capital Project List contains those projects being recommended by the Greens Committee.  Note this is a discussion document that has been presented to the Long Range Planning Committee and the Board .
